ABOUT ME

As a person seeking therapy, you deserve to know more about me.

As a therapist, I understand there is more to a person than simple terms. The human experience is nuanced. At apricity, the aim is to understand the different aspects of the familial, social, economic, political, and biological systems that make up a person, and to delve into them to help you achieve your goals and heal.

Full transparency: Things will get uncomfortable before they get better. Unfortunately, the discomfort is important to explore to progress.

On a lighter, more ethically personal note, I like dancing, writing, mythology, philosophy, and linguistics. I also like random facts, like an octopus punches fish simply out of spite. I have a slightly concerning love for cats (I still do love dogs dearly).

I like reading and watching rom-coms, feel-good stuff, murder mysteries and thrillers. I used to love Marvel, but I fell off after Hawkeye, we all know why. DC? Never tried, but I'm incapable of keeping up with decades of lore now. Also, I actually liked the last season of Stranger Things. That's all you get to know about me, for now. Maybe there will be a bit more self-disclosure in our sessions.

EDUCATION

Psychology is evidence-based, so should your choice of therapist be.

Learn a bit about my qualifications to make an informed decision.

I have a BA (H) Applied Psychology from Amity University, Noida. During this time, I did multiple internships, in Bhopal and Delhi to gain a deeper understanding of therapy.

Where I interned:
- Amar Jyoti
- Little Seeds
- Cognizavest
- Research Solutions Global
- Mind + Life
- Soulful Mind
- Psyconnect
- Safe Hands Rehabilitaion Society

After my bachelors, I did a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology, also from Amity.

After the diploma, I worked with a clinical psychologist (Happiness Studio) for a year. I worked in a hospital, a fertility clinic and aided in sessions and treatment planning.

Simultaneously, I trained from a counselling psychologist (Roobaroo Therapy). Here I was trained in the modalities I use.

After my training, I did a MSc in Foundations of Clinical Psychology from the University of Southampton (UK) and volunteered at a day-care rehabilation centre for people with acquired brain injury (Headway Southampton).

As per the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP) guidelines, I'm qualified to work as a counselling psychologist in India.
